Materials Handling/Rigging

Materials Handling/Rigging (29 CFR 1910 Subpart N 1926 Subpart H)

  • Compliance with OSHA’s material handling regulations of 29 CFR 1910.176 and 1926.250 can be easily overlooked while hooking up a chain to a backhoe or operating a forklift.  If you are using shackles, hooks, slings, bridles, or other types of rigging, you may be breaking the law unknowingly. Our 8-hour material handling/rigging course instructs participants on proper rigging.
  • This excellent course covers scope, application, definitions, storage requirements, rigging equipment, capacities, inspections, and removal from service requirements. Having this knowledge helps each and every employee make the right decisions when choosing and operating rigging materials.
